audio venting:
this isn't about any one person, it's just something that pisses me off that i've run into somewhat regularly throughout my audio jobs.
you can not hear .01 of a decibel. you can't. i don't want to see any data ever again where someone has shifted something by 1.51 db. you're just being an asshole. 1.5 would've done the job just great. i'll adjust things by a half db. even by a quarter, but usually then it's cause some other jerk thought that a half was too much and i'm compromising. if you're listening for .01 of a db either you're the best mixing engineer ever and you definitely shouldn't be working somewhere with me, or else you're faking it, and you're a jerk.
